A row over land in the western district of Kanungu threatens to split the family of Vision group CEO Robert Kabushenga.
The land row pits Robert and his uncle Solomon Tindiwegi Kabushenga (plaintiffs) on the one side against Robert’s grandmother Justine Faith Kabushenga, her children Hamlet Mbabazi Kabushenga, Robert Tumwesigye Kabushenga and Irene Kesande Kabushenga.
On Friday, the High court in Kabale granted Robert and Tindiwegi a temporary injunction restraining the defendants from carrying out any further dealings on the estate until the case is fully resolved.
The row dates back to August this year. Then, the High court in Kabale granted Faith letters of administration to the estate of her husband George William Kabushenga, who died without leaving a will. The plaintiffs realized that there was a move by Faith and Hamlet to distribute the estate, without involving some of the bonafide beneficiaries.
